I would like to ask a business for a donation? How do I go about doing that?
It is so easy to ask local businesses; especially ones that you frequent. Bring them the Ocean View Auction Donation Letter, let them know about the event, explain that all the monies raised go to our on-site technology efforts and that their donation is tax deductible. We happily accept any and all donations and sincerely appreciate all the support from our local business partners.
Where do the monies go that are raised for the event?
All monies raised benefit the Ocean View PTA, which directly benefits all the students of Ocean View Elementary. The monies go to funding additional student/teacher aides, school supplies, field trips, class assemblies, and so much more! Click here to see where your monies go.
What is the dress code?
Come as you are! There is no need to dress up. If you are feeling festive wear your favorite decades costume.
Are kids allowed at the event?
No, kids will not be allowed at this event. The Ocean View Dinner & Auction is intended for adults to have a nice evening out while raising money for our children's school.
If I want to buy a table now, but am not sure who will be sitting there yet, can I still buy now?
Yes, we will just need to have all names turned in by no later than October 30th. All tables and seats will be assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis and seats are limited!
I would like to donate, how do I do it?
We take donations in all forms and they are all very appreciated and a huge asset to the event. You can: donate an item/service from your business; personally donate monies; sponsor the event for additional publicity and recognition; help underwrite an expense; or you and a group of other families can individually donateitems to make up a bigger item. For example, your family can team up with four other families to provide a party for 10 - a live auction item that is sure to bring in big money!
